Sharing Your Screen in Microsoft Teams

In Microsoft Teams, you can show your desktop, a specific app, a whiteboard, or a presentation in a meeting.

  1. Join or start a Microsoft Teams meeting and click Share content.
  2. Choose if you want to share your computer audio. Note: if you intend to play a video or any other audio that those attending your meeting should be able to hear, you must enable the Include computer sound option before sharing your screen.

  1. Select what and how you want to share:
    1. Presenter mode allows you to choose how meeting participants view the content you share. Choose from Content-only, Standout, Side-by-side, or Reporter modes.
    2. Screen lets you show everything on your screen.
    3. Window lets you share an open window like a specific app you have open (do not choose this option if you intend to share multiple application windows).
    4. Microsoft Whiteboard lets you share a whiteboard where participants can sketch together.
    5. PowerPoint Live lets you share a PowerPoint presentation (though you can share a PowerPoint presentation by sharing your screen as well).

  1. After you select what you want to show, a red border surrounds what you’re sharing. Meeting participants won’t see any notifications that might come in.
  2. Select Stop sharing to stop showing your screen.
