Reporting a Phishing (Spam) Email
What’s Phishing?
Phishing is the fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information or data, such as usernames, passwords and credit card details, by disguising oneself as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.[1][2]

Instructions- Option 1
- In Outlook Online, click the (…) symbol in the top right corner of the email.
- Click “Security options” in the drop down menu.
- Click “Mark as phishing”.
- Done!

Instructions- Option 2
- In the Outlook Application or Online/Web Version, find the email you believe to be “Phishing.”
- (DO NOT OPEN/RE-OPEN THE EMAIL OR ANY LINKS CONTAINED IN THE EMAIL.) Hover over the email and Right-Click the email within the inbox section.
- Next, look for the option that states “Report.” It will be a red hazard symbol with an exclamation point in the middle. Select it.
- After selecting “Report,” select “Report Phishing.”
- In the “Report Fishing” Pop-up window, select Report
- Done
