Setup Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Upon first login to your CVCC account you are required to setup multi-factor authentication. This will require a smartphone where you can download an authenticator app. If you do not have a smartphone, contact .

Setup with Authenticator App

It is recommended that you have two devices available to you to perform these steps. One device where you can login via a browser and a smart device that you can download the app and complete the process.

Download the Microsoft Authenticator App from the app store on your smart device, then click Next.

Add an account in the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smart device and then select “Work or school.”

Return to the browser window and Click Next.

Use the Authenticator app to select Scan a QR code and scan the QR code displayed in the browser window. Click Next.

The next step will send a request for authentication through the Microsoft Authenticator app for you to approve. Use your smart device to approve the notification.

Once you approve the authentication notification you should see a green checkmark in the browser. Click Next to continue.

You will receive a message indicating you have successfully setup the Microsoft Authenticator app. This completes the Authenticator and MFA setup. Keep the app on your device to use for logging in to CVCC accounts in the future. Click Done.
