Creating and Uploading Files and Folders in OneDrive

You can create and upload files and folders into OneDrive. OneDrive will automatically save and store your files and folders so that you can access them from anywhere on any device.

Creating Files and Folders in OneDrive

  1. To create a new item in OneDrive, click on the new button and select the new item that you want to create. This will automatically save in your OneDrive. You can name this item, share it, and more!
  1. Once you select the new file that you want to create, you will be able to enter your information directly into OneDrive, just like you would in the selected app itself Microsoft Word was chosen for this example.

Uploading Files and Folders to OneDrive

  1. To upload a file or folder, select the upload button and then click on files or folders. This will take you to your local device files and folders, where you can select what you want to upload to OneDrive.
  1. From your device, choose the file(s) or folder(s) that you want to upload to OneDrive.
