Infosilem DCU
Logging in
- In the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser, navigate to infosilem/DCU.
- Enter the username and password provided by the Office of Academic Management and Facilities Scheduling. If you do not remember your username or password, contact them at .
Navigating the Courses Page
- Click Courses from the navigation menu on the left.

- Choose a department from the dropdown list to display courses for that department.
- Click a course on the left. Note that courses that have sections attached are marked with a plus sign. The DCU lists all courses that can be taught in a given department, so courses that are no longer taught may be listed. Only courses with a plus sign beside them contain sections that will be schedule for the upcoming semester.

- Review the information associated with the course on the Course Editing page. The Course Title Attributes fields should match the name and contact hour information found in the CVCC Course Catalog. If it does not, please contact .
- The Program Projections tab of the Demand section details each program in the Course Catalog that includes a particular course as part of its sequence. The Projected Enrollment number to the right is the approximate number of students enrolled in that program, based on data collected at the beginning of the school year. This information is included as an aid to course planning and for the benefit of the students.
For example, in the highlighted program in the screenshot below, there are approximately seven (7) students in the Associate Degree Nursing program that will need seats in the course. As Infosilem does not create sections automatically, it is up to the discretion of the Department Head as to how best to accommodate all the students needing a particular course by determining the number and size of course sections.
Note: Enrollment Project does not currently include students enrolled in non-sequenced programs, such as the Associate of Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in General Education. As a result, some courses will display limited or no information in the Enrollment Project table. Contact for more information.

- The Sections area at the bottom of the page displays the sections currently attached to the selected course, their term, and enrollment capacities. Sections may already be listed that have been carried over from previous semester data — however, it is still necessary to review the section information and update as necessary.
The Total Program Enrollment Projections number at the bottom right (notated in the image above), is the total number of seats in all sections of the course and is a convenient way to ensure enough seats will be offered to accommodate the demand for a course.
