Downloading Google Docs

Catawba Valley Community College is a Microsoft institution, which means that we utilize the Microsoft Office 365 suite, which is available for our faculty, staff, and students to download and use as long as they are connected to CVCC (see Installing Office 365 Applications). Many instructors will require student assignments to be uploaded as a Microsoft Word document. Follow the directions below to download your Google Doc as a Word document to submit in Blackboard.

  1. From your Google Doc, click File
  2. Click Download
  3. Click Microsoft Word (.docx)

  1. Save the downloaded Word version of the file somewhere that you can locate it easily.
  2. When submitting your assignment in Blackboard, upload the Word version of the file downloaded in the steps above.
