These instructions include how to enable pop-ups from selected websites for Chrome, Firefox, and the latest version of Microsoft Edge. These are the only browsers that are recommended for use with Blackboard. Please remember that pop-up blockers can prevent access to third-party tools like Pearson and Cengage, and pop-ups must sometimes be enabled for these, among other, purposes.

Chrome

1. Open Chrome.
2. Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of your web browser, and then click Settings.
3. Select Privacy and security.
4. Then under Privacy and security, select Site Settings.
5. Navigate to where it says Pop-ups and redirects and select this option.
6. Under Customized behaviors, you can choose Add beside Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects to add which sites you want to be able to allow pop-ups.
7. Add the site that you want to be able to allow pop-ups by entering the site address into the box and clicking Add.

Firefox

1. Open Firefox.
2. Click on the three horizontal bars in the top right corner and select Settings.
3. Select Privacy & Security.
4. Under Permissions, find the option that says Block pop-up windows. Beside that you should see the Exceptions tab. Click on this to choose which sites to allow pop-ups.
5. Enter the address of the website that you want to allow pop-ups and click Allow. This will move this website to the allowed section. When finished, click Save Changes.

Edge

1. Click the ellipsis icon (…) in the upper right corner of your web browser, and then click Settings.
2. In the settings section, click Cookies and Site Permissions.
3. In the Block pop-ups and redirects section, navigate to Allow and select Add.
4. Enter the site that you want to allow pop-ups and click Add.
